Cabinet committees

Cabinet committees meet in the Cabinet Committee Room (8.4) on the 8th floor of the Beehive.  The committees meet weekly,  fortnightly, or on an 'as required' basis.

During weeks when the House is adjourned, the Cabinet Business Committee (CBC) usually meets to deal with all committee business for that week, instead of the regular committee meetings.  CBC usually meets on the same day as Cabinet.

The confirmed Cabinet and committee timetable for the week, and an indicative timetable for the year are available on the Cabinet Office page on the Public Service Intranet (link only available to people with access to the Public Sector Intranet).

The links below provide information on the terms of reference, membership, relevant portfolios and meeting frequency for each Cabinet committee.

Most of the Cabinet committees are supported by an officials' committee.  Further information is available in the CabGuide section on officials' committees that support Cabinet committees.
